BLOG UPDATED

This morning before going to the co-op kitchen, I posted a couple more blogs (4/22, 4/23 & 4/25). I’ve been trying to decide which way to go with the short blog posts – the last few I posted were multiple day posts and it was messing me up a bit. Do I continue to combine them so I’m not posting short blogs? The days are a bit out of order if I do it this way, so maybe keeping everything / every day separate makes more sense?  It’s been bugging me and I’ve been going around and around in my head – it’s making this process harder than it should, so this morning I decided to just post each day by itself. It must have worked the kinks out of my brain pan because I finally posted after a delay of 10 days…

 

GLUTEN FREE TEST

Today I made a second batch of gluten free dough made using only Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free (Contains a blend of gluten-free flours from potatoes, sorghum, tapioca, garbanzo, and fava beans.). The cookie is not as gritty but there’s this strange aftertaste and they spread out a LOT. Danette says it’s the bean flour and a need for additional sticky stuff.  Next try I’ll try rice flour and maybe almond flour and some Xanthan Gum.

Also started working on a new shop page now that I've finally got some good photos of some really pretty cookies. These last few weeks of non-stop work are paying off.
